How can i create a shape with a gradient?
I looked here, http://scriptographer.org/reference/ai/gradient/
i did scriptographer tutorials before, i was able to create usefull stuff in scriptographer, still the reference is a pain in the ass.
Tutorials take hours and days to write, whereas the reference is automatically generated from source code, in order to offer an overview of all the existing methods.
We have a list of all the tutorials we want to write, and gradients are part of that list, but we also have jobs, private lives, other projects, etc.
Stating here that something is a pain in the ass is then maybe not the optimal way to motivate us to explain it to you...
Scriptographer is an open source effort and lives with the users who contribute to it. If you feel gradients are not well enough explained, maybe you would like to spend some time writing a tutorial about it?
I did not know the reference is automatically generated, that explains a lot.
Sorry my pain in the ass was not a kind way of explaining my dissapointment.
I understand that users that contribute are important, that's why i try to help people lately on the board.
About tutorials, good short examples will help a lot as a reference, i meight have time this weekend to work on that, so i will see what i can do.
sry for being so negative in the past, most of the times i work in the evening after work and sometimes i have to unload some negative energy and unfortunately i did that here.
No worries! Scanning through the forum I saw some of the posts where you helped others. Thanks a lot for that!
And have a look at GradientColor, it contains an example script that explains how gradients work better in the description of the constructor.
