not working on PC

i'm running v10 on a PC with windows XP... i installed everything per the instructions and illustrator lags at the splash screen after i select the scripts folder and won't open. i removed the plugin and illustrator starts fine, so i know its not my system. any ideas?

installation problem

running Illustrator 10.0 release build 76, i get the following error windows:

Scriptographer Error
Unknown error
AI Tool Suite

then:
Adobe Illustrator
Error loading plugins.
Scriptographer.aip

and finally:
Scriptographer Error
unknown error
AI Matching Art Suite

Illustrator works fine otherwise but it doens't ask for any script folder.
any ideas?

Scriptographer only runs on the official version of Illustrator. You might be using a pre-relase, or beta version, in which case the SDK provided by Adobe is not compatible.
