Just remove the Scriptographer folder in the plugins folder in your Illustrator folder. This should stop those warnings.

Then download Scriptographer again from the website and copy the Scriptographer folder in the package into the plugins folder of Illustrator.

I have the same problem with CS4 (I tried with CS3 too) and 10.4.11.

I'm just going crazy with this, I've spent hours on it, and still nothing…

Are you sure you are getting all these 3 messages together? Or did they occur in different situations? It does not really make sense that #3 would happen last, after #1 and #2. You'd either get only #3, or then #1 and #2 together.

Do you have Java 1.5 installed on your OSX?

OSX 10.4 is quite old and outdated, things have moved on to 10.6. I would recommend to add least upgrade to 10.5 if you can. If you cannot, make sure you have at least the latest version of Java installed and try again:

About the messages, it appears this way :

1 - unable to load loader.jar. Make sure that the folder was copied together with the Scriptographer plugin.

2 - unable to create ScriptographerEngine

This means Java is loaded, but the loader.jar cannot be found. Some things to check:

How are you installing your plugin? What are you copying into the Plugin folder?
And where is Adobe Illustrator? What is the path to it?
Could you post a screenshot of the finder showing this information?
Is there a Logs folder inside Scriptographer that contains further information?

What seems unusual is that your Adobe Illustrator folder is not inside Applications. But this alone should not be the problem. The name of the folder it resides in might be the cause though: It appears to be called "1PAO / PHOTO", and I think it could be the '/' that causes the problem, as in Unix the slash is used as a path separator and should therefore not be used in folder names. It therefore could be that things get mixed up in path conversion between Carbon and Posix filenames, a conversion that is needed in Scriptographer to talk to the JVM.

Could you try renaming that folder and see if that helps?
